Stuck Inside Again!

It may be March, but it's still FREEZING in Clarksville! I think today's high was somewhere in the 30's, which I'll say was a slight improvement over the previous two days when the wind blew, it was freezing and sleeting / snowing.
So it goes without saying that I'm totally ready for Spring to come!!
In the meantime however Hailey and I are finding new and exciting ways to entertain ourselves, and thanks to my awesome friend Mariah it was a little easier today. For weeks now she has been telling me to come and get some toys that Xander and Liam had outgrown, I've just been super busy with Nonni visiting, working and life in general that I kept putting it off. But today when Hail's and I were out at Target I decided to give her a call and swing by for the toys, and boy am I ever glad I did! I was thinking I'd get a toy or two, no big deal, but she broke out with a new walker, a piano play area and a mini gym. After picking them up I came home and unloaded Hailey but left the goodies in the car -- I thought it would be fun to set them up during her nap, that way she could "discover" them when she woke up. Was she ever excited when she scaled the stairs to the bonus room and found all the new toys!! . . . First thing she came to was the new walker. With all the gadgets and toys on the front it took quite awhile for her to even choose to use it as such! Then while taking the new walker for a spin she discovered the play gym, another source of endless amusement!


















Probably about an hour later when she was again venturing around with the walker she discovered the piano table . . . I think at this point she was a little overwhelmed because she looked up at me, squealed, clapped her hands and toddled on over to it!







It is strategically placed by both the tv and the window so that she has a constant source of inspiration when composing her works of musical genious :)














So here's a big ol' THANK YOU MARIAH . . . and of course Xander and Liam, since they were their toys!

And Mariah joked with me about showing up empty handed to collect the toys ("What nothing for me") . . . well perhaps when we are enjoying what is supposed to be AMAZING weather this weekend in Nashville (it's supposed to reach the 70's !!!!) Anyhow like I was saying, maybe just maybe we'll remember her generosity when we are visiting Gigi's cupcakes . . . mmmmmmm!!!
