Spring may have finally arrived in Tennessee!! Today was another beautiful day; sunny skies, temperatures in the high 60's and it felt even warmer in our backyard. Karl has made some exciting progress on the patio, the retaining wall has been cemented in (I have to take a better picture of the "finished" wall) and I am actually starting to be able to share in his "vision" :) Hailey and I decided to join him and the pups in the back yard for a while and get some natural Vitamin D!
Hailey enjoyed hanging out with her four legged sister's and even played a little ball with them.
After spending some time outside (off the grass of course!) Hailey and I headed back inside. She had fun in the yard, but was limited because the blanket was only so big and she has made it more than clear that she isn't a big fan of touching grass.
While we were inside playing I got an idea . . . I wonder if there's a good way to keep her happy outside, something fun and entertaining that keeps her off the yucky grass?! . . . Then it hit me -- so Hailey and I headed out to Walmart and found just what I was looking for . . .
A SWING!!!
And thanks to an AWESOME daddy, who took a break from his patio work and installed it in the no time! What a fun way to end the day.

The swing was a great Idea!!! Now we can play outside on the nice sunny days!! Just make sure you leave me a canvas chair out by the swing! and a jug of ice tea!! I'm not asking for much!! hahah Can't wait to come play!
good call on the swing!! Hailey looks like she's having so much fun!! I was just thinking this past week how the weather is getting nice enough for a swing in our backyard, too....and now that I see the look of JOY in Hailey's eyes in this swing, I doubt it'll be long before Jake is enjoying one, too :-) The sand fleas are just horrible here, though - that's the only bummer (and it's only March)!!
