Yesterday was the Battalion Change of Command, so Hail's got all dressed up in a cute little dress and sure managed to make her mama proud. First off her little bum peeped out of the bottom, even though the dress was labeled 9-12 months, she's a little on the long side. That'll be the last time you're allowed out of the house like that little lady :) While showing off her fancy little tooshie she managed to smear snacks all down her front and then blackened the knees of her tights by crawling around on the floor of the airfield hanger where the ceremony was taking place -- she was looking HOT! It was pretty amusing though whenever applause would occur during the speeches -- turns out we have made Hailey quite the little narcissist -- anytime anyone claps for anything she assumes it is for her!! She gets a big smile, giggles and then claps for herself, looking quite proud of whatever she has (or hasn't) managed to do. Maybe we'll have to find another way besides clapping to acknowledge her accomplishments?? Won't happen!

Then today Hailey was again a hot mess when she came home from her first day at the CDC, child development center, aka military talk for daycare. I wanted to test it out, so I took her in for a whole hour and half this afternoon. LONGEST hour and a half of my life!!! But apparently she quite enjoyed it! And I had no doubts that her caretaker there would tell me exactly how she behaved, because it just so happens I know Ms Doxey who works the infant department :) It's nice to know the people taking care of your kid!!! She got to play with bubbles, take a ride in a wagon and got snacks -- talk about keeping her busy! But I had to laugh when I got her home because she had her pants on backwards and a name tag stuck to the back of her shirt :) hahaha! In their defense, why does Carter's put pockets on the front of the pants?? Others (Nonni) have made that same mistake so I don't hold it against them!
So there you have the story of Hailey . . . the Hot Mess!

Nooooo it's little Pebbles from the Flintstones. Remember Pebbles and Bam Bam:-) She is just as cute as ever no matter what she wears. Yes I did put those very same little pants on back to front I thought the pockets went to the back also. Makes sense to me:-)
And her mother reluctantly forgot to mention that Hailey was the best little girl during the Battalion Change of Command!!
Shaking the chairs and chewing in the blue duck....gazing and smiling at the people in the stands...she's a looker she is!!!
One of the ladies at my center did the same thing with the small sized carter pants. Haha .. and I work there!
I have a few pairs of the Carters pants with pockets in front for Caroline - I always have to look at the tags for them. Sounds like she was pretty good during the change of command. Caroline was great during Jason's deployment ceremony at the arena, then fell asleep while we were standing talking to people!
