The morning began full of smiles -- here we have Hail's greeting me this morning -- she is already trying to climb out of her crib, crazy baby =)

Once we were up and moving we went and picked up Jada to join us for our doctor's appointment -- the big 6 month check up. Turns out she is growing like a weed -- she finally made it to the 15 lb mark, and is a whopping 26 inches long! That puts her in the 30% percentile for weight and 80% for height.

We got to see the nurse practitioner today whom I LOVE, and she adores Hailey Bug. She said Hailey is doing great and can actually start eating real food -- no more baby blah food. So now Hailey will get mom

and daddy's dinner in the food processor =) So much easier!! And tastier! She also had to get her shots =( ... 4 sticks this time, the extra one was her first dose of the flu shot, can't have little bug coming down with the nasty flu this season. Jada came for mommy moral support (I hate when she gets shots)...but ended up just about in tears herself =) Hailey did great, there was tears and some cries when she got her shots but as soon as I picked her up she calmed down and put on her brave girl face, what a little trooper! Her favorite part of the visit was playing with the paper on the examination table!!
Once we came home it was back to being all smiles -- there was a brief catnap in the car and then full speed ahead when we got home. I put her on the play mat while I made lunch and accidentally forgot to put some toys out for her to play with. Guess it didn't matter much, because I found her helping herself to the toy basket -- cleaver little girl!!

What will you learn to do next Hailey??

Those look suspiciously like DOG toys, Hailey Bug!
Actually watching Hailey with the paper on the exam table gives me a great idea. How about just boxes and wrapping paper for christmas kids always seem to have so much more fun with that anyway:-)
Yes I do say that she is a tough little trooper! But she didn't traumatize me with horrific screams like the baby in the other room! Thanks Hail's for the great experience!
