Berry Fun Day

Today Hail's and I ventured out with playgroup to H&S Farms to do some strawberry picking. I thought Hailey may enjoy the experience and I have always loved going to pick your own venues, supporting local agriculture is very important to me! I had NO idea just how much of a success it would be -- Hailey was too cute! I gave her charge of the basket while I picked, but I noticed that there were about half the amount of strawberries in the basket than I remembered gathering -- I quickly realized that Hail's wasn't just nibbling on a few, she was devouring them at a rapid rate :) She was quickly relieved of her position (much to her dismay . . . there was even a little hissy fit thrown) and I rationed her strawberry intake. After everyone was through gathering we all enjoyed some lunch together and some strawberry shortcake and strawberry ice cream for dessert! Thanks for a fun time girls -- even if we almost didn't make it there (Katrina saved the day; Mariah, you're no longer allowed to be line leader!!) -- although I must give her credit, if it hadn't been for Mariah I would have had a pictureless blog as I managed to forget my camera!! -- so thanks Mariah ;)!!

Ready to go pickin!

All the little berry pickers -- and the berry eaters :)

Hailey and Jillian chillin on the swing, they've come a long way from beating on one another :) And Hail's with Piper

Kids eating lunch, and Liam gets a fly stuck in his cream filled hair . . . mmmmm!

Hailey is even precious with strawberry all over her face. Looks like you guys had a blast - we'll have to get Grey out there soon.

Lil' Hokie Hailey should come to Virginia and help her Boompa and Uncle Mike D harvest their egg plant - on second thought I don't think she'd enjoy chowing down on raw eggplant! Best wait till it has some cheese and Uncle Mike's famous sauce on it!

Beach minus 2 days!

strawberry picking is SO fun! Hailey looks like she really enjoyed herself - and she is absolutely precious! Wish I could've seen her in action in person :-)

Haha! Don't you remember our strawberry picking adventures? I'm surprised that either of us can still eat them! :) Hails definitely came by her love of berries honestly.

Also, how adorable is she in that pink Columbia fleece? You may not get to indulge in retail therapy as often as I do . . . but you've got a real life doll to dress up! :)
