PHEW, talk about a busy busy weekend. All the excitement began on Thursday with Hailey's first birthday -- and no first birthday can be complete without a big celebration! So we threw the Luau to end all luau's :) OK, so maybe it wasn't the luau to end all luau's but it was pretty great! Picture if you will 11 kids, majority of them under the age of 4, their parents and lots of food, oh and lots of rain which = everyone in my house! Having a hard time with the imagine? Let me help, after all they say a picture is worth a thousand words . . . The birthday girl before the party Playing hostess to all her friends
Greyson arrives at the "door" with birthday balloons for his lady . . . kids, kids, everywhere! With Friday morning came more excitement as we all headed down to spend a fun filled weekend in Nashville. Karl and I have lived here for over a year now and have never really experienced Nashville! Sure we go down and do shopping or visit Gigi's cupcakes, but we never went out on the town . . . so this was our chance to do so with Nonni, Papa, Gigi Betty and Neil and let me tell you . . . we had a blast! Even Hailey got in on the honkey tonk action -- she was up shaking her little fanny during the day at all the local bars, The Stage was by far her favorite though, while Nonni and I opted for Tootsies. Karl and I took Gigi Betty and Neil to the Grand Old Opry and saw some great performances to include Trace Adkins and Martina McBride. Here are just a few of our highlights . . . oh, and the rain, yeah it didn't go anywhere, but we didn't let it dampen our spirits :)

The birthday was fabulous and G was thrilled to spend time celebrating his favorite gal! Glad you had a blast in Nashville - too bad the rain was a pain for both our trips, but oh well :)
