Harvest Princess

This past week we really got into the Fall spirit around here. The leaves are changing, temperatures dropping and I swear I have even smelled a few fires burning some nights! I wanted to dress up the house exterior a little -- give it a cozy feeling for the new season. A bale of straw, some pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn and mums can go a long way! Then we had an idea -- how cute would some pictures of Hailey be in our little harvest setting? Excellent idea in theory -- a little harder to execute! Here is our little Harvest Princess doing her best to check out everything around her and totally ignore mommy and daddy's pleas to sit still and smile for the camera!

And ofcourse, since we did take somewhere around 50 pictures trying to get a good shot, here are some bloopers for your viewing pleasure -- commentary provided!!

Finally we gave up on the harvest scene! We just decided to put her in the candy bowl out front in hopes that someone will take her on Halloween night!!

My Little Pony

I loved my little pony as a child, my sister and I rented the My Little Pony movie from the video store so often that they eventually just gave it to us ... "My little pony, my little pony, what will today's adventure be ..." so you can only imagine how excited I was when Hailey got my little pony slippers as a gift from Mrs. Teri!! Now that the weather is cooling off, and today happened to be a rainy, stay at home with your PJs on kind of day, Hailey got to break out her slippers for the first time. I think she may have been more excited about them than I was!! Oh and did I mention that they rattle =)

Hailey then decided to practice her poses for the 2028 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, pouty little lip, smiling with her eyes ... I think we'll have to retire this onesie, can't have her showing too much cleavage at playgroup!!!

Hailey had her first portrait session today! Despite refusing to take her nap before hand and peeing on set we still managed to get some pretty cute pictures ... here is a little sampling of her photo shoot (mommy & daddy joined in too)
