Halloween Queen Bee

Phew, that may have been the LONGEST Halloween season yet! Hailey got to go to several Halloween parties which was really good b/c she got to wear her costume several times! First was the Halloween party with playgroup ... the kiddos had a blast!!

Here she is pre-party ... watching Einstein of course!

Next was the Battalion Block Party at Karl's work. It had to be the best work party we have ever been to; sure they lacked a little "organization" but they had all the necessities: trick or treating, snacks, candy, games, haunted houses, candy, contests and a big room full of balloons to dance it (Hailey's favorite!) ... and her other favorite, candy!!

Finally on Halloween Hailey got to help daddy carve the pumpkin (we were a little late this year)

And we had some friends join us for Trick-or-Treating ... Baylee and Lorelei :) They made a cute trio! After getting LOTS of loot, the girls came home all sticky faced from eating lolly pops on the ride and jumped in the tub :) I look forward to blackmailing all three of them when they are old with those pictures!

Baby Sitting

Hailey was a big helper when I was babysitting Greyson this past week ... she's a natural; well aside from trying to shove the passie down his throat and sit on him, LOL. Oh and she got his bottle stuck in one of her toys, trying to put it down the chute :)

Spoiled Much?

So I can't take "credit" for this idea ... I stole it from a friend of my sister :) But it is a great idea ... well it was until I realized just how much work it would take. I bought the climber used for $20 on Craigslist, good deal considering a new climber runs about $100. Problem was it was an outdoor toy and I wanted an indoor toy ... I had to scrub it with bleach, kill all insects that had made the inside of the toy home (eww!) and then repaint it b/c it was so worn from the sun. The pool I already had .. it too had to be scrubed and bleached due to it being left out in the back yard for the past few months... and the balls have been in desperate need of a home for sometime now. In the end the smiles that I got from my climbing monkey made it all worth my while :)

She is however still climbing on my ottoman ...

Baby Einstein?!

Hailey is obsessed with Baby Einstein DVD's ... here she is in her Halloween costume pleading for some Baby Einstein :)

I Dream Of Mickey

Hot Rod

Hailey's new wheels:
super cute, leather seats, the horn honks, and it's vintage radio flyer! The best part ... $8 at a yard sale

Birthday Bonanza

Happy 2nd Birthday Bean and Liam! Thanks for sharing your special day with us!

The birthday boy and girl (note, they are not twins; not even related!)

Hail's riding the carousel which she loves; and whacking a mole with dada.

Having lunch by her bestie "B"; note the two little girls across from them ... I found it amusing that it could be a four year old reflection of Hailey and Baylee :)

Loving some birthday cupcakes :)

AH, Finally Some Me Time....

Not really; but some blogging time which I know is FAR overdue. Quick family updates ... I finally finished classes (for now) and am pending acceptance into the RN program here, I will know by November if I am starting classes in January. I rounded up the semester with all A's and even got in the 98th percentile for my pre-entrance exams to nursing school (yay me!!)...Karl is still in his company command (I fear it will NEVER end) however he has been assured that it will by early next year which cannot come soon enough! Hailey bug is growing, talking, running and doing everything these days at lightening speed! I cannot believe that by the end of this month she will be 18 months old! Where does a year and a half go?!
We have been on TONS of adventures since my last updates ... so here are some pictures with written commentary to accompany them ...

Hailey is a big DWTS fan, she's even got the posing down!...who knows maybe she'll be a future contestant?!

There was Clarksville Oktoberfest...lots of chugging and stacking of beer mugs!

Next Nonni came up for a visit :) I thought I had more pictures but I guess they are all on her camera :( ... ohwell here are a few from the day she arrived! Love RainForest Cafe!

We then ventured to the east coast ... another great plane trip for Hailey! It may have had something to do with the AWESOME new play area addition to Nashville Airport!

... or perhaps the complimentary ear phone given out on the flight?!

It was a late night when we got in, but Hailey was excited bright and early when she was at her Boompa and Gaba's house! They have toys, dogs and a piano! Perfect!

While there we got to be a part of Aunt Heidi's baby shower ... she got lots of good stuff and looks ADORABLE .. pregnancy is always cute on someone else :)

Mama got a night out with her girls...we went a little nuts and hubbies were called to pick us up after last call ... but hey I never get to see them and I miss them tons!!

And we spend our last day visiting the National Zoo ... Hail's was in heaven!

Finally Monday came and we had to hit the road; but not before a trip to the pumpkin patch to help Gaba and Boompa pick out their pumpkin (she's an expert ya know!)

Our 3 day trip went by far too quickly and before we knew it we were driving back to TN. Oh, I forgot to mention, another big reason we went was to pick up Aunt Lisa's car; she's deployed so her Jetta will be living with us...we love it already! It even came with a DVD player (courtesy of Nonni) so Hailey could watch her Baba Ein-tine (Baby Einstein) the WHOLE 12 hour trip!! How wonderful.
We took our time driving back, stopped in Charlottesville (very briefly) for Bodo bagels, and in Blacksburg for some sight seeing, shopping and yummy MacAdo's dinner, ah how I love VT.

We stayed the night in Bristol, VA and then continued on home! Finally we arrived and are now gearing up for a busy holiday season of travel!
