The Easter Egg . . . DASH

Today was Clarksville's first annual Easter Egg Hunt . . . I say that because as you'll see from the pictures there was no real "hunting" involved, it was more like a mad dash!! All the same we headed over to Heritage Park to let Hailey partake in the age old Easter tradition. Jada and Garrett met up with us and were nice enough to bring their video camera and video Hailey's first Easter egg hunt (dash!) Hailey had a BLAST, and although we only got 8 eggs I'm proud to say Hailey got them all herself! I couldn't help but be a little annoyed with all the parents in our age group (1-3 years) that were filling their kids baskets -- HELLO, it's for the kids, it's about having fun not who can get the most!!!!

After Hailey's group was done, she was eyeing up the next field over and kept trying to go across the yellow tape -- after all there were more eggs to get!!

She managed to catch the attention of a photographer from the local paper (what can I say, she's ADORABLE!!) and even landed an interview with one of their freelance writer :) I'll have to check out the Leaf Chronicle tomorrow to see if she made the paper! I'll keep everyone posted ;) For now I'm happy to report that her first Easter Egg Hunt was a huge success!!
