We started out with the sting ray petting pool . . .
And then moved to the penguins!!!
Hailey loved the penguins so much that Boompa and Grandma bought her one of her very own to take home -- in the gift store we held up three different ones and asked her which she wanted (she's usually pretty good about choosing between a selection) . . . she stared at them all, pondered for a moment and then wrapped her arms around all of them :) It was too funny! In the end she got the baby king penguin . . .
On the way home we drove up the ridge overlooking Chattanooga and checked out some battle grounds -- it was the best time I have ever had at a "battlefield" because it turn out the ridge line was a hot commodity for the rich -- there were beautiful houses built throughout the battlefields -- imagine having civil war cannons and plaques in your front yard!!
Finally on the way home I was able to snap some pictures of the damages from Friday's tornadoes -- we drive right through Murfreesboro and were able to see damaged homes right along I-24 . . . scary to think it was only an hour south of us . . . as much as I love the spring, tornado season is by far my least favorite!

10yrs in Texas and Good Friday was the 2nd time I was in an interior room during a storm in KY! Mike and I,the 3 dogs and the cat all in a hall bathroom....yes the chicken babies and bunny were put up for sacrifice to the tornado gods and not in the bathroom with us ....too stinky! House still on the hill...daffodils shredded...good thing we picked them earlier in the week! 3 entries on the head table at the Cincinnati Daffodil show for the Kuduk's! Glad you all had fun in Chattanooga. It is a nifty place to visit!
