You see Hailey is not such a big fan of "confinement"and playing in her playpen peacefully only ever lasts about 5 minutes, so Karl and I have become inventive. We have taken to barricading off the living room area with the ottoman at one end and pillows at the other (Note the guard dog placed strategically on the ottoman . . . sleeping on duty AGAIN Jersey!?!?!). More recently I placed the exer-saucer where the pillows used to be, thinking it may contain the little captive better than the pillows (she was starting to climb over them). But silly mommy grossly underestimated the mind of an escape artist (which is funny considering my many "prison breaks" in my own day, and I'm talking about high school people, she's starting WAY younger than I did!!)
Winnie the Pooh was an accomplice, but I guess he was just slowing her down, and was ultimately left behind!
And, she's off . . .
I guess she thinks that adorable grin is going to get her early parole!!

JUST WAIT TILL SHE STARTS WALKING!!! IT WILL BE GATING THE STAIRS, CLOSING DOORS AND PROTECTIVE CABINET LOCKERS! UNLESS I GET TO HER FIRST TO SHOW HER HOW TO BANG ON POTS AND PANS!
Yes and that smile just about gets the wee munchkin out of anything:-)
