Morning Paper

Hailey's favorite part about Sunday?

Getting the paper with her dada

Visiting Baby G

Yesterday evening I finally got an opportunity to go and really visit with Jada and Baby Greyson -- I've been dying to get over to her house but with school, homework and life in general I haven't had time for more than a quick 20 minute visit here and there. So last night we went over and Karl went up the road with Garrett to SGT Atkins house to watch football while I got to hang out with J & G. Abby (one of Karl's LT's) came too and hung out for a bit before joining the fellas to watch football -- she was too funny with Greyson; I always enjoy watching people who don't have kids with newborns :) -- she was great with him tho! Hailey even tried to help her ... by stealing his paci! Real helpful Hail's!!

Then it was my turn to cuddle with the "ba-ba" as Hailey calls him. Needless to say that was fun with my own toddler deciding "I want to cuddle too mama" -- it's amazing how quickly my little non snuggling toddler turns into a snuggle baby when another baby is around! I can't imagine how people manage two this age at the same time -- she as pulling my leg, grabbing at Greyson, squealing "mama-mama-mama" ... just a tad jealous I would say! Later that evening I bathed Hailey and put her down in Greyson's crib (after all he doesn't use it yet :) ) and then got some time to hang with Jada, Grandma Kiki (Jada's mom) and of course the little man -- and no, although Greyson is adorable, in case I didn't answer that question already...I'm not ready for #2 yet :)

Uh - Oh

It appears that the FAO Schwartz Lion has eaten baby Hailey...guess I shouldn't put her to bed in the lions den!

On an aside -- "Uh Oh" as it happens is one of Hailey's favorite new words, it's super adorable when she says it; although I'm beginning to think that she purpoufully throws her sippy cup to the floor from her high chair just for an excuse to go "Uh-Oh" -- smile coyly and then clap for herself!

Corn-a-lichious

Who doesn't love a big, juicy corn on the cob?! Cali would have been so proud :*)

Land Between The Lakes

Yesterday we finally ventured out to the Land Between the Lakes National Park. We checked out the camp sites and visited the Homestead, a working farm located in the park. The campsites were very impressive, and Karl, Hailey, Molly, Jersey and myself are super excited to hopefully go camping sometime this fall :) The farm was very exciting too, and there was something for everyone!

Pretty Horsies...

"Da" .. aka Ducks!!

Checking out the Ox and the houses with Grama and Hi-da

Family Picture...little hitchhiker

The girls loved the piggies...shocker!

Gaylord Horses

So I realized this past weekend when we were visiting Opryland Gaylord Hotel that I can follow Hailey's little life through pictures with the country horses in the hotel ...

We're Baaaaaaaaaack....

OK, so it's been awhile, and now that I have a new camera I will try desperately to keep up with blogging; however, with playgroup, 3 college courses, PRN work nursing and a family to handle my plate runith over a little bit right now...oh and I have to take the ACT and PAX-RN exams within the next month to apply to nursing school...ahhhh :) BUT, that doesn't mean all should be deprived of their Hailey updates!

Here is what we have missed in the past few weeks ...

Playdates have been very active, recently we have been celebrating birthdays with lots of Hailey's friends ... first was Jacob's birthday

Hailey tried to steal all the goldfish and then lead the group in harassing the dog non stop...

Next was literally a birth-day...Hailey was in daycare, but I got to be there to welcome Greyson Deruyter Field on Monday August 17th at 2:03pm (I was supposed to be in my first day of class, but hey Jada needed me more and I was honored to fill in for her own mama who hadn't come in yet as she went 9 days early!!) He is just perfect and mama and daddy are super adorable with him...although Hailey I will admit is a little jealous of sharing her Jay-Da :)

Next was Emily's 3rd birthday at JumpZone. It was dada's first time at JumpZone and we made him join Hailey in the jump castles...in his uniform :)

Finally, we have some visitors ... Auntie "Hi-Da" (aka Heidi) and Grandma Wendy who are here through the weekend. I will have to take some more full length pictures to show off little cousin Jackson who is the "ba-ba" in Auntie "Hi-Da"s belly :) Hailey likes him now (she also liked Greyson in Jada's belly) but I am sure when he arrives she will be singing a different tune :) Oh to share the attention!!

Oh La La

Baby may not have back yet, but she sure has lips...I had a lovely doctor stop me & Hailey the other day when I was visiting Jada in the hospital, she exclaimed "OH, MY"...and I though "what, what's wrong?" ... and she said "people pay GOOD money for that ... you have PERFECT lips". Of course she was talking to Hailey as I have no lips to speak of :) Lucky Girl!!

On another short note, I got a new camera :) Thanks for all weighing in, funny thing is I had at least one person speak out in favor of each of the cameras! I ended up with a Nikon CoolPix, because they had the best deal the week I was buying :) It's awesome, love it!

Current Stats

Here's Hailey's current stats from our 15 month check up at the doctors ... sorry there are no pictures but, no camera!

Height 32.5 inches
Weight 22 lbs 8 oz

Still growing like a weed :)

It's .... A ....

Yippie for Heidi and Mike :)

Hailey's first little cousin is due around Christmas!! We can't wait to meet him, and although we would have loved another little princess for her to be bestest friends with; this way she will have a little ruffian to keep her tough ... and someone to threaten all her future boyfriends :)

Excuses, Excuses

I know I'm full of them! But things have been busy and to add icing to the cake I no longer have a camera!!! Hence the lack of blogging :*(. But I do have pictures to share from the last hoorah with the camera...

Last weekend we went out to dinner with Jada and Garrett at Buca Di Beppo...a DELICIOUS Italian family style restaurant down in Cool Springs by Nashville. Dinner was amazing as usual and we all ate way too much; Hailey was slightly unruly which has been the case lately when we go out to eat :) After our meal Karl and I were letting her run up and down the huge booth bench ... and following the picture of Jada and Garrett either Hailey or Karl, we're not really sure who, dropped the camera, no biggie, it was only from 3 inches above the table. Wrong! Apparently 3 inches was high enough for the lens to bend, WTF? Needless to say we were unable to fix the slight bend in the telescope lens and now, no camera. Pooooo. But, at least this way I can get the new camera I wanted :)...now I just have to choose one :) In the running is the Sony Cybershot, the Cannon Powershot or the Nikon Coolpix...any input or experience anyone has with any of these cameras would be appreciated! We're looking for the less expensive in each category as money is not growing on our trees in Clarksville ;)

And I dug up an old throwback ... here is a picture from our last trip to Buca Di Beppo...it was with the whole Sondermann family in DC, Hailey's even in the picture ;) Might I add she may have been more "contained" in this photo but was no less unruly that evening ;)
